Celtic 1 Piece Product Review
The Gericke Celtic suit is without a doubt the BEST 1 PIECE LEATHER VALUE GOING! We have staffers, racers and many of our STT riders in this suit. All of the feedback is STELLAR! The suit is fitted with AstroTech armor and has an excellent back protector so there is no need to step up to a replacement back protector straight away. The Celtic suit has proven to serve its wearer well in a crash. We have first hand experience from our staff, customers and racers with crash protection and durability. Both the durability and protection in the event of a crash have proven to be excellent, allowing for continued use after multiple incidents.
I have worn and ridden in this suit and am impressed with the way it feels and moves. I find the fit of the suit to allow full freedom of movement while riding as well as being comfortable in the pits. In this price range the Celtic should be your first choice, we compare this to any $1000 suit on the market.
Here is Jake wearing the Celtic in a size 40 US. Jake is 5'9" tall and weighs in at 145 lbs. Jake is wearing the Bohn Adventure shorts and the stock back protector with the suit. The size 40 Celtic leaves a little room for Jake to put on a few pounds while still offering a good fit. Jake has a Celtic which he rode in for 2006, with three crashes on the race track during the season the Celtic proved durable and protective. Jake is still wearing the suit during the offseason racing 50cc at the kart track. He has continued to test the suit in his new venture with only the best results.
Here is a Celtic 44 US being worn by one of our staffers, Ryan. Ryan is 6' tall and weighs 175 lbs with an athletic build. He is wearing a Knox Contour Race back protector with the suit in the photo. Excellent fit, still some available room fitting up to 185 lbs at a similar height.
Here is a Celtic size 46 US being worn by Brian Van. Brian is 5'11" tall and weighs between 195-200 with an athletic build. Brian is wearing a Knox Contour Race back protector and Bohn Adventure shorts with the suit in the photo. As you can see the fit of the suit is excellent, allowing for freedom of movement while being form fitting.

Here is Mike Flis wearing the Celtic in a size 42 US. Mike is 6' tall and weighs 165 lbs. Mike has been riding quite some time having owned many suits to this point. He was very impressed with the fit, feel and build quality of the Celtic.
HERE ARE SOME PICS OF A CELTIC 1 PIECE WHICH HAS BEEN CRASHED MULTIPLE TIMES
Above is one of our expert racers Dan Cole wearing his Celtic from last season as well as his new Celtic for his 2007 campaign.
The sliver/black suit Dan is wearing has been crashed in 3 times, all three were high speed crashes. The third crash was at Nelson Ledges in Ohio turn 12 (the kink) which is a 5th gear flat out section. Dan's leg was caught under the bike, you can see from the pictures above the outer layer of leather had worn through while the inner layer remained completely intact! Remember his leg was cought under the bike while sliding, much more difficult for the suit to manage this type of slide as compared to the rider sliding alone. After all 3 crashes you can see not one seam on the Celtic has opened up. After inspecting the suit it would take very little repair for this suit to be ready to be used for a full season of racing again. Only some of the sewn on cosmetic patches have come loose, none of the protective seams!
As you can see Dan has lost a little weight and his ne Yellow/Black Celtic is a size smaller than the silver/black from 2006. The fact Dan has choosen another Celtic for 2007 speaks volumes for the performance and quality of the Gericke Celtic 1 piece suit.
